Renovation in the Chelsea area of New York.
The project’s brief was
to update the entrance in the spirit of contemporary design and
material, plus
the history of the building,
which used to be collection of manufacturing lofts for sewing machines.
The industrial heritage prompted the image of the corrugated stainless
steel and was extended to the undulated glass, manufactured by
glass artist Joel Berman of Vancouver. A small stainless steel
console table was designed specifically for the space, in the same
undulating theme.
Area: 245 square feet /
